Angel Investor

What is an Angel Investor?

An angel investor or seed investor is an individual who uses their own money to invest in companies. Angel investors are generally accredited investors who have a high net worth or income, and they often invest in seed- and early-stage startups.

If you’re trying to raise money from angel investors, you could look for individuals or angel groups that focus on funding similar types of companies. Or that focus on funding companies in your region.

In exchange for their investment, angel investors often receive convertible debt or equity in the company. The angels may also offer other types of assistance, such as mentoring founders and connecting the startup with potential partners or clients.
